Four young lovers find themselves enveloped in the dream-like arms of a magical forest full of spirits, where a feuding Fairy King and Queen are at war over the possession of an Indian boy. A group of amateur actors share the same forest. They’re rehearsing for a play. Fairies and humans collide. Hilarity ensues.
Please note the production will go ahead in all but the worst weather conditions so we advise you dress appropriately. Guests are required to bring their own seating.

Take a group of the hottest contemporary fiddle players from the Highlands and Islands, mix with some wonderfully sympathetic piano and guitar arrangements, and you’ve got Scotland’s multi-award winning Blazin’ Fiddles. Over the last two decades, no other band has quite managed to capture the excitement, passion and sensitivity of Scottish music. With a Blazers performance comes the rare opportunity to hear the regional expressions and individual styles of playing. Come to this show at the Universal Hall and the Scots Trad Music Awards’ Folk Band of the Year 2013/14 will remind you why they are perennial favourites here.
