East Lodge is a dog-friendly self-catering cottage sleeping up to four people, located in Forres, Morayshire.
The town of Forres is situated in the county of Moray in northern Scotland. This former royal burgh is an ideal base from which to explore the area’s scenic villages, enchanting forests and magnificent beaches – you may even spot dolphins in the Moray Firth! Or follow Scotland’s Malt Whisky Trail which takes in some of Speyside’s legendary distilleries. If history and culture is your thing, you can pay a visit to numerous historic castles and cathedrals, or explore intriguing standing stones which speak of the region’s Pictish past. For the more sporting visitors there are opportunities to enjoy a range of wonderful walks and bike trails, to play golf at one of the area’s many stunning courses, or to take in the delights of the nearby Cairngorms National Park.
You’ll find all you need in Forres for a perfect stay. East Lodge is situated close to a wide range of shops, cafés and restaurants, whilst providing a relatively secluded getaway spot at the entrance to the historic Grant Park (the town’s main green space, adjoining the woods of Cluny Hill). Thus, the property makes a great base for walkers, cyclists, families, couples – in fact, just about everyone!
A well-maintained playground lies close to East Lodge and can be accessed without crossing roads – ideal for the kids.
We’re pet-friendly too – and our location means you have a huge grass space for games of ‘fetch’ right outside the door and easy access to lots of varied dog-walking routes.
Easily accessible to all
East Lodge is easily reached by public transport, with rail and bus connections to Forres from both Inverness and Aberdeen. For cyclists, it’s close to National Cycle Route 1. If you prefer to arrive by car, we can offer secure on-site parking – there’s lockable storage space for bikes too.
Good food for all
